Thanks for joining us for the School’s Out Blog Blowout for Teachers!
Today I’m linking up with several bloggers to bring you some summer fun and freebies! This blog hop loop is designed to run through 20 different blogs. Each blog post ends with an opportunity to sign up for a $100 TpT Gift Certificate as well as limited-time freebies along the way.
“A Course in Miracles” is the book on my reading list this summer. As a life-long learner and educator, I’ve always been interested in developing myself as a human being. I think we can only really contribute to society when we are healthy. That means mentally, socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and psychologically. Our whole self goes into the work we do as teachers, so I want my whole self to keep growing. If I am growing as a person, then I will know how to help my students grow.
The Math Madness Interactive Power Point Quiz Games are free this week only!
These games are super fun and easy. The interactive power point slide shows contains all of the problems and answers in linked slides. NO PREP for you! It covers Common Core math content from the whole year. I have grades 3-8 available, just search for your grade level at my TpT store. SHHHHHH! Most people aren’t shopping TpT during this holiday week. So, this is especially for the devoted blog hoppers and followers! 😉 If you already own a game for your grade level, feel free to download another level. Use it as a fun challenge or remedial review for your higher or lower students.
My summer bucket list is a combination of personal and professional to-do’s! Not very sexy, but I had a vacation in Australia for two and a half weeks in April. I really can’t complain. I will be happy to get the following done…
Finish the 1st Grade and 2nd Grade Math Assessments with Marzano Scales!
Finish my family scrap book through June 2016. I am about 1 year behind, but I have the pictures printed and waiting for me!
Finish prepping the new baby’s room. My second boy and third child is due in August. I have a bit more Winnie the Pooh decos to put up in the office/spare room/will be his room inevitably.
Seriously find/fix/buy/hide some school jeans for my oldest son. He is starting kindergarten this year. We are really excited to have him dress nicely and take on a professional school attitude. The problem is he will only wear jeans – even when it’s 112 degrees outside. That means all of this jeans have rips in the knees save 2 pairs. He keeps finding the good ones and wearing them out!
Make one more trip to Sedona, AZ. We only live about 2 hours away and when the Phoenix Valley gets too hot for too long, I enjoy a little jaunt to the colorful Red Rocks.
What? More fun?! Yes! You have a chance to win $100 gift card to Teacherspayteachers.com! An excellent reward for your dedicated blog hopping this holiday week. Click on the “School’s Out Blog Blowout” link below to enter the raffle! Just click to follow me on Facebook. And if you already follow me than put that and QUICK enter! Australia sounds like a dream vacation but I definitely loved the time we visited Sedona too. 🙂

We get to Sedona whenever we can. It is amazing. Congrats on the new baby!
Adele – Smart Teaching
My summer plans include teaching summer school and getting classroom set up at a new school.
Oh my scrapbooks. I am about four years behind. Now I make digital ones, but I have some catching up to do. Maybe after I clean the basement. Thanks for joining the hop.
